In common with all our management team, Mike cut his teeth at some big names. Starting out with Prudential, he moved on to Allied Dunbar and Rowanmoor Group plc before a brief spell at Hartley SAS.  If all this hopping about taught Mike one thing, it was that there had to be a better way.

Mike’s journey began in the late 90’s at the Pru, but as far as he’s concerned all roads were leading to PSG, even if it was a ten year trip around the houses to get here.

Pre-PSG, Mike had worked with all the other directors at some time, making him the ideal man to gather up and translate the technical know-how of the PSG team to make sure it is meaningful to the outside world.  Unashamedly client-focused, Mike combines a wealth of experience with a borderline obsession about making great first impressions.

Mike is all about proving that that just because the subject matter is pensions, doesn’t mean that the message should be convoluted, confused or heaven forbid, dull. It just doesn’t have to be that way.

What makes Mike tick?

Fuelled by restorative cups of tea, Mike finds all the energy he needs to rise to the challenge of making sure the PSG message is communicated to all and that everyone feels a fundamental level of control whether that be clients in their schemes, advisers in their chosen provider or colleagues in helping to shape PSG’s future.

“What made a difference for me was the sheer knowledge on the subject matter I was presented with, prior, during and after our initial meeting with Mike. What is a complex and speciality sector was laid out well so I could look at what opportunities it could bring me as well as my clients as investors and people who want to try and make things happen.”
